The San Francisco 49ers or Oakland Raiders both have big games coming up. The 49ers have an awesome west coast rivalry game against the Seattle Seahawks on December 12, at 1:05 p.m. They have another game to bring in the New Year against the Arizona Cardinals on January 2, at 1:15 p.m. Both of these games are at home in Candlestick Park. The Raiders have an action packed home game coming up against the Miami Dolphins this November 28, at 1:05 p.m. Followed by a big divisional rivalry against the Denver Broncos on December 19 at 1:15 p.m. All of these games are at the Oakland Coliseum.

The True Meaning of Thanksgiving

I love being the new social media manager here at Bauer’s Intelligent Transportation. I love spreading the word about our green, friendly, high-tech, convenient, innovative, comfortable and luxurious transportation. Today really opened my eyes to what we are doing here. We are more than just the premier eco-friendly transportation company in the Bay Area. We are a big family here at Bauer’s that is just trying to do what we can to help our community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In my blog last week,  I discussed how every year we give over 50 turkeys and Care Bags with all the fixings to families in need at the Willie Brown Center at  Hunter’s Point.  The sun was shining in San Francisco yesterday when we arrived at the center and people were lined up to greet us. I felt on top of the world walking around taking pictures and talking to the grateful crowd. I got so many smiles, handshakes, and praises for our good deed. It truly was an awesome feeling to see first-hand what we do bring such joy into people’s lives.

It made my heart feel good to give back for Thanksgiving. I could tell that the rest of the Bauer’s employees felt the same way. We were all singing and smiling on our way home. I think our project manager, Mia S. summed everybody’s feelings when she said: “Being a part of the Bauer’s Thanksgiving Dinner Donation was a very special experience for me. Knowing that I, as a member of the Bauer’s team, was able to help some 50 families have a true Thanksgiving meal meant very much.  As I was handing out turkeys and care bags I saw so many happy and grateful faces, and I knew then that we at Bauer’s are actually making a difference in these people’s lives, even if only for one day. And, that, in and of itself, makes this Thanksgiving a special one for me.”

Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon

It’s a little known fact, but Bauer’s travels with its valued clients to manage event transportation Nationwide. Last week we managed the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in San Antonio Texas. There were over 27,000 people competing for statewide bragging rights at the third “Texas Showdown” benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. City Manager of San Antonio Sheryl Sculley released a press statement that proudly declared, “The third running of the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon & 1/2 Marathon represents a commitment to helping citizens and visitors focus on the importance of fitness and a healthy, active lifestyle.”

There were participants from all 50 states and 18 countries in this the largest combined marathon in Texas. The two marathons were a gut-wrenching 13.1 and 26.2 mile journey that both started just 2 miles northeast of Downtown San Antonio near Lion’s Field (in Brackenridge Park) and finish just steps from the Alamodome. Both courses showcased the best of what San Antonio has to offer: the breath-taking Spanish Missions, historic downtown San Antonio, the King William District and the lush Mission Trails.

This was an action-packed scenic race, lined with supportive spectators, thousands of cheerleaders and high-energy live local music at every mile. Bauer’s gives back to San Francisco for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time for getting together with family and loved ones. It is a time to reflect and be thankful for everything. Families have different traditions and cuisines to celebrate this holiday. There are many people that do not have the means to have a good Thanksgiving dinner.

We are very thankful at Bauer’s for everything we have and everything we can give to the Bay Area. Every year we give over 50 turkeys and Care Bags with all the fixings to families in need. We will be spreading holiday cheer on board a motorized trolley car on Tuesday, November 23rd. The trolley will leave Bauer’s Intelligent Transportation on Pier 27 at 2:00PM and return from the Willie Brown Center at approximately 5:00PM.

Fleet Week is the Bay Area’s opportunity to honor the nation’s men and women of the Navy and Marine services. Once a year bystanders enjoy a spectacular weekend family event featuring the Navy Blue Angels, a Parade of Navy ships and other exciting demonstrations. During this year’s annual event, the crowd enjoyed the roars of the beautiful Blue Angel F-18s as they watched them soar through the sky and fly under the Golden Gate Bridge.

As part of fleet week tradition, the best way to view the Blue Angels air show is atop a San Francisco rooftop or if you are lucky enough to be invited to the PIER 39 V.I.P Party. PIER 39 Strategic Alliances throws an exclusive invitation only VIP party each year for lucky event invites.
